Cheryl Hudson Wright is responsible for WaterEquity’s compliance with applicable U.S. and fund country laws and regulations, and manages aspects of the investment (loan) process. She brings 20+ years of experience in regulatory, financial services, and project management to this role.

Prior to WaterEquity, Cheryl worked in law firm administration where she designed and implemented the global talent development agenda for attorneys. A former transactional attorney, Cheryl practiced law in Washington, D.C. and Charlotte, N.C., where she represented clients in matters relating to regulatory and corporate law, financial services, and real estate finance and development. She also served as the Manager of State and Local Relations at the Children’s Defense Fund where she developed programmatic strategies to increase awareness of policies and legislation affecting children.

Cheryl received a Bachelor of Arts in History from Howard University and holds a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School.
